Thirty years after a motorbike accident Owen will be the oldest person  post their accident to receive two Epidural Stimulators in surgically implanted in his back followed by injections of stem cell into the spinal cord. Following the surgery Owen will undergo 50 days of intensive training and electrical pulse mapping, to see if there any notable recovery in his function, pain relief or spasm reduction. The cost to the surgery and treatment is $1870.500 to be paid in advance. Currently conducting advanced implantation procedures in Thailand, his work centers on **Epidural Stimulation (ES)**. This technology delivers targeted electrical impulses to the spinal cord via surgically implanted stimulators, facilitating the recovery of lost motor functions. 

**Key Elements of the Initiative:** 

1. **Surgical Collaboration:** Leading Singaporean neurosurgeons perform the implantation of stimulators onto the spinal cord. These devices generate electrical impulses delivered to the central nervous system, enabling muscle contraction.

2. **Integrated Neurotechnology:** Collumb is exploring the synergistic use of **Brain-Computer Interface (BCI)** technology alongside spinal cord stimulation. This integrated approach aims to significantly enhance movement restoration.

3. **Strategic Focus:** The work focuses on developing and applying advanced geoengineering and neurosurgical strategies to restore neurological function, particularly for paralysis.


4. **Technology Platform:** The procedures utilize the **Medtronic Intellis™ Pro Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS)**, the latest SCS platform. This device offers enhanced MRI compatibility and advanced, flexible patient programming capabilities within the smallest and thinnest SCS form factor available. Owen Collumb himself will receive two of these implants.

5. **Clinical Location:** The surgical implantation and subsequent rehabilitation will take place at the Physical Rehabilitation Department (Verita Neuro), Thonburi Bamrungmuang Hospital, Bangkok, Thailand (Address: Fl. 3, 611 Bamrung Mueang Rd, Khlong Maha Nak, Pom Prap Sattru Phai, Bangkok 10100).
